Shipper
Position Summary
- Prepare products for shipping in accordance with the pick ticket, verify availability of inventory, and maintain product stock.
Principal Duties:
- Pull stock and prepare orders for shipping.
- Organize and stock shelves.
- Provide information regarding the status of shipments.
- Monitor packaging material supplies.
- Keep work areas clean and clear of debris.
Qualifications
- One year warehouse experience: preferably in a shipping department.
Equipment Used
- Pallet jacks
- Forklift
- Pneumatic staple guns
- Banding machine
- Tape guns
Skills Required
Physical requirements include:- Standing, sitting, and walking throughout the day
- Ladder climbing
- Repeated twisting at the torso while lifting and taking products from shelves
- Regular lifting of up to 20 pounds
- Occasional lifting of 30-50 pounds
- Lifting over 50 pounds with assistance
- Visual parts identification
- Must pay close attention to detail, i.e. part numbers and quantities
- Grasps concepts quickly
Other
- Overtime during busy season
- Participate in annual physical inventory count
- Other duties as assigned by Supervisor or above
