Shipper

Position Summary

• Prepare products for shipping in accordance with the pick ticket, verify availability of inventory, and maintain product stock.

Principal Duties:

• Pull stock and prepare orders for shipping.
• Organize and stock shelves.
• Provide information regarding the status of shipments.
• Monitor packaging material supplies.
• Keep work areas clean and clear of debris.

Qualifications

• One year warehouse experience: preferably in a shipping department.

Equipment Used

• Pallet jacks
• Forklift
• Pneumatic staple guns
• Banding machine
• Tape guns

Skills Required

• Standing, sitting, and walking throughout the day
• Ladder climbing
• Repeated twisting at the torso while lifting and taking products from shelves
• Regular lifting of up to 20 pounds
• Occasional lifting of 30-50 pounds
• Lifting over 50 pounds with assistance
• Visual parts identification
• Must pay close attention to detail, i.e. part numbers and quantities
• Grasps concepts quickly

Other

• Overtime during busy season
• Participate in annual physical inventory count
• Other duties as assigned by Supervisor or above
