Freight Shipper (Temp to Hire)

Position Summary

Assisting in traffic and transportation of materials and fulfilling common warehouse tasks.

Working with others in a team effort to complete tasks.
Fulfill all incoming freight orders and email tracking.
Make sure all pallets orders are staged and loaded on freight trucks at the end of the day.
Operate all machinery assigned within the safety guidelines established by the company and standard safe work practices.
Package and ship in accordance with packaging guidelines and accepted methods/practices of the freight department.
Maintain materials and equipment stock in work area.
Ship orders complete and on-time.
Maintain and keep packaging area clean and clear of debris.

Ability to meet physical requirements including: a variety of standing, sitting and walking throughout the day; repeated twisting at the torso while lifting and pulling inventory from shelves; regular lifting of up to 20 pounds and occasional lifting of 30-70 pounds, occasional climbing of ladders; usage of pallet jacks.
