1989-1998 Suzuki Sidekick/Tracker Steel Front Axle Upgrade
The Ultimate Upgrade for Your IFS Sidekick or Tracker
Without question, the aluminum front axle is the weak link in the Sidekick Drivetrain.
We have seen axle housings crack open with 31" tires and open differentials. If you plan on using taller tires or a front locker you should expect to eventually blow the front axle apart. The most common solution to this problem is a solid axle swap. While a solid axle is far stronger, the advantage for ride quality goes hands down to Suzuki's IFS suspension. Thankfully, there is a middle ground.
The Suzuki Grand Vitara had much in common with the smaller Sidekick. The heavier more powerful Grand Vitara received an updated cast steel housing and 3rd Member. These are a direct bolt-in for the 1989-1998 Suzuki Sidekick, X90, and Geo Tracker.
Genuine New OEM Suzuki Parts.
Can be used with existing Sidekick internal differential components.
NOTE: Differential housing not included.
